Compounding Pharmacy
Pharmacy that prepares custom medications
A compounding pharmacy is a licensed facility that prepares customized medications for individual patients when a commercially manufactured product does not meet the needed specifications. Preparations are made according to a prescriber's order for a specific person. Compounded products differ from mass-produced approved drugs.
