Nociception
Detection and signaling of potentially harmful stimuli
Nociception is the process by which specialized nerve endings detect intense mechanical, thermal, or chemical stimuli and send signals toward the spinal cord and brain. These signals are interpreted as discomfort or pain. BPC-157 has been studied in animal models for possible effects on nociceptive pathways and tissue-related discomfort after injury.
