Pulsatile Secretion
Release of hormones in brief bursts rather than steadily
Pulsatile secretion is the pattern in which many natural hormones, including growth hormone, are released in short spikes separated by periods of low levels. This on-off rhythm is thought to be important for proper receptor responses and downstream effects. GHRH and GHRP stacks are studied because together they can amplify the size of natural GH pulses.
