Selank
Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide derived from the immunomodulatory tetrapeptide Tuftsin with an additional stabilizing tripeptide tail. Russian research has studied it for anxiolytic and anti-stress effects without sedation, attributed to modulation of GABAergic tone and upregulation of hippocampal BDNF. It has been investigated in Russian clinical practice for generalized anxiety disorder.
Cognitive effects may be perceived acutely to within days; sustained benefit depends on continued use.
Store the lyophilized powder refrigerated (2 to 8 C), or frozen for long-term storage, protected from light. After reconstitution with bacteriostatic water, keep refrigerated and use within about 4 weeks.
