Tripeptide-1 is the INCI name for free GHK (Gly-His-Lys), originally identified by Pickart in 1973 as a plasma factor that improves liver-cell function with age. In topicals it is most often paired with copper to form GHK-Cu, but free GHK is widely used as a cosmetic active claiming collagen and elastin upregulation. Most evidence is industry-funded.
