Adipocyte
Cell specialized for storing fat
Adipocytes are cells whose main role is to store energy as fat droplets and to release stored fat when needed. They also produce signaling molecules that influence metabolism and inflammation throughout the body. Tesamorelin and dual-agonist GLP-1 compounds have been studied in part for their effects on visceral adipocyte mass and function.
