Double-Blind

Study where assignments are hidden from all

Double-blind describes a study design in which neither the participants nor the research staff who interact with them know who is receiving the active compound or the comparison treatment. The goal is to limit the effect of expectations on reported results. The blinding is removed only after the study data have been collected and analyzed.
