Pineal Gland
Small brain structure that helps set daily rhythms
The pineal gland is a small midline structure in the brain that produces melatonin and participates in the timing of sleep-wake and seasonal cycles. Epitalon was developed as a synthetic version of a peptide fraction originally studied from pineal tissue. Research has examined its reported influence on melatonin rhythms in older subjects.
