Scientific Overview
GHRH (somatocrinin) is the native 44-aa hypothalamic peptide that stimulates pituitary somatotrophs to release growth hormone. Recombinant full-length GHRH (Geref / sermorelin acetate prior to truncation) was historically used in pediatric GH-deficiency diagnostics. Modern analogs sermorelin (1-29), CJC-1295, and tesamorelin all derive from this parent.
